We were very lucky to go back home and visit with the fam the past few weeks. We got to go swimming at Nannys a lot which Tucker is SO in love with. He refuses to stay in any floating device and wants to be right in the water so he can get his face in and splash and play. He is a pro at holding his breath... It makes GG nervous, but it makes me feel good that he will be a great swimmer and not one of those kids who is afraid of the water:) He likes to sit on the side and scoot until he can lean over and jump in, which is so stinkin cute! This trip was mostly about relaxing so we did lots of it! Swimming and hanging out at the house with the fam:) We played outside with Cam (GG and Pops puppy) and watched Pops work in the garden. We saw lightning bugs, and trees everywhere. (Pretty sure Tucker didnt know what to make of all the trees at first, haha) Tucker played flash cards with GG on the iPad and loved it... He also started dancing as soon as we got there and hasnt stopped since, lol. We had lots of yummy watermelon which might just be Tuckers new favorite fruit.. Jake helped my dad take down the old light in the kitchen and install a ceiling fan, which looks FAB! They also installed a motion scensor light in the backyard so we would have any ankle rolling for the GG or twisted knees for aunt Katie. All in all, we had such a blast and feel so blessed that we got to visit with everybody. We did a lot of other things but i am so tired i cant even think so here are the pictures!! A BIG thanks to GG and Pops for all that you have done and continue to do for us. We love you so much and are thankful to have you in our lives. LOVE YOU!!!

The Birthday Boy!

Well, this is obviously almost 2 weeks late, but we were having too much fun in VA that i completely forgot to blog about Tuckers 1st Birthday!! May 30, 2010 was quite an exciting one for the Saxton's here in Kansas. We continue to be reminded everyday how blessed we are to have such a kind-hearted, loving, sweet, laid back, ADORABLE son. He is the greatest thing that we have been blessed with and we have no idea what we would do without him. For Tuckers birthday we were in VA! It was so great to have so much family and friends to help celebrate with us:) His birthday was on Memorial Day so we celebrated at our family annual Memorial Day pool party! It was so much fun and pretty much the PERFECT day. Here are some pictures of the birthday boy!

The only picture we dedicated to the cake i made for my little Tuckerman. He is quite the little monkey, so that was our "theme" IF you would call a monkey cake and monkey plates a theme! lol

His record is now 10 steps:) He is doing so great and Jake is hoping he will be full on walking by his (Jakes) birthday. Don't worry, thats this Thursday! haha, probably wont make that, but he is making GREAT progress!

It's been a LONG time of no blogging...

Ok, so i know its been forever since my last check in. i could make a million excuses but mostly i just havent felt like messing with it! So here is a little update! Tucker doing great, growing like crazy! He is still just as happy and content as ever (minus this week that he has had a 102 fever and viral infection and has been SOOO pathetic:( anywho! he loves to play with anyone who will play with him, but mostly loves to play with Daddy. He eats anything and everything.. he is totally off baby food and has enjoyed everything he has tasted.. chicken, steak, burgers, all veggies and fruits.. Tucker is most definatly NOT picky, JUST like his father;) He has just started walking this past wek or 2 and is up to about 8 steps! Im thinkin he will pick it up really fast once he is feeling better!
As for me, I have been feeling MUCH better the past 2 weeks or so, not throwing up all the time, just my usual headaches which I can live with i guess. I just barely am showing now, so i guess thats good! Everything with the baby is looking great! He is measuring right on and is very active. I am still babysitting with will be up in a few weeks when the kids get out of school here on May 19th (they get out SO early here! its weird..) and then we are off to VA for our summer vacation! I am SO excited to see my family and to be with them to celebrate Tuckers 1st birthday:) We cant wait to go swimming at Nannys, and meet Mom and Dads new puppy Cam. Tucker loves dogs and is one of his favorite things to say and sign, its super cute and i love it!)
Jake is doing great too:) He has been working a ton in the basement and we should be ready for sheet rock next week! He is such a hard worker, and i love how he has to do things the right way even if it means taking longer or doing things over again.. I know the basement will look awesome when its done. OH and ps, i am REALLY good at running electrical wire if you ever need any help;)

So we have been pretty busy in the Saxton home! I started babysitting once the new year came so i have been horrible at keeping our blog updated! I cant find the camera right now but i will post a few videos! Tucker is getting so big, i swear he grows an inch every night! He is just over 22 lbs, over 29 inches, andso stinkin cute! He is such a sweet, happy and VERY content baby! I hope all of our kids are just as easy going, but i guess it comes from Jake, lol. Tucker sleeps between 12 and 13 hours every night and takes 2 naps a day. He is still sticking with his army crawl, which i think he just prefers because he is pretty speedy with it! He has been pulling up on everything he can.. the couch, the bookshelf, the kitchen chairs, the bathtub... He loves to be standing, and has just started using his truck toy as a walker. (Thanks Hunter!) Today he walked a ways across the living room with it, but by the time i got the camera he would only take a few steps.. Ill try to keep the flip closer by so that i can catch him in the act! He also LOVES his car garage toy that GG gave him for Christmas.. He loves putting the cars in it and rolling them down. I also have to cut his hair about every 2 weeks.Its thick and getting blonder every day! i guess i dont HAVE to but i like it short, and NOT sticking straight up,lol. and it grows SOOO fast! i guess he gets that from me! So here are a few vidoes!

Christmas in ViRGiNiA!!

This Christmas we had the opportunity to go back home to Virginia! I was really excited to see both of my sisters for 2 whole weeks:) We enjoyed good food, good laughs, and just good times in general! Jake came after 1 week, and then after Christmas Ryan and his family came. It was great to see everybody and see all the grandkids playing and having fun together! It was great hearing sarah say... or scream "TUCKER!!!!" haha, she is the sweetest, tiniest little thing with the biggest voice!! We loved it. Mom actually took time off from work which she should definatly do more often! It was fun to be able to have her not HAVING to be on the phone or computer :) I love my mom, and having her all to us makes me very happy! We had snow the whole time we were there so it was fun to see Kurtis go out and sled and play in the snow with Derick and Katie! We rocked out on Glee Kareoke and Disney Sing It. Even tho Derick is a cheater and we WILL have a rematch one day ;) haha, jk jk. We loved being avble to see Nanny a bunch, Tucker loves Nanny and just laughs and laughs when he is with her.. We made Stew as soon as Jake got in, it was so great this year (thanks to me and my cooking skills lol ;) Katie you KNOW what im referring to haha) and im sad i only got 2 bowls... sad sad day... But it was great spending time together and having Tucker there for his first Stewing! We are so grateful for our family and the opportunity we had to spend time with them! We cant wait until we get to see yall again!!!!! Summer cant come fast enough!

So today is my birthday and i REALLY wanted to take my little boy to see Santa:) I have been waiting for the past 6 months for the time to come and its finally here!!!! Tucker did great with Santa, he laughed and wanted to grab Santa's beard and touch everything on Santa's outfit. We got an AWESOME picture and here it is!!

Trip to Washington

For Thanksgiving we got to go to Washington to go see some of Jakes family. Jake finally got his 4 generation picture, 4 Saxton men, which he has been so stoked for ever since we found out we were having a boy. All in all it was a great trip that (as they usually do) flew by. I wish i would've taken more pictures but i feel like ever since i've had Tucker, at family events my hands are full and i totally forget to take pictures!! i will try to do a little better about it:) and hopefully i can get some pictures from jakes dad that they took of Thanksgiving.. but here are a few pix for ya!

Tucker tried baby food today! Pretty sure my childs appetite is going to be JUST like his fathers. Doesn't matter what it is as long as it's edible, and he will eat A TON! i swear, he would eat just as much as us if I would let him! I took some pix of his first baby food meal, sweet potatoes. He hummmmmmed while eating, which is JUST like my Dad, haha so it fits.

Here is another picture i LOVE! So this morning im laying in bed and Jake gets up for work. I get up to help him with something and while im up i hear, "Hellloooo" come from the monitor... "WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?!" is what jake says....then we hear a,"ahhh, oooooo, eeeeee" I start dying laughing.... "It's that sing-a-ma-jig! the thing mom gave him!" We named him fish. so i go into Bubs room with the camera, and this is the look that i get.

"Mom...pretty sure i was playing and you can leave me alone until i call you in here.. k thanks. bye!"

All Hallows Eve:)

So I am fairly diappointed that i didnt get to watch Hocus Pocus this year before Halloween... this is a classic that is really one of my favs!

Another disappointment... So last Thursday Jake comes home and says, "my schedule is open at 7 am so you should come in and get your wisdom tooth out." so i say, "OH, ok cool, thats good so i will be able to stuff my face saturday at the ward party:)" so Friday (the next morning) we go in and Jake takes out my wisdom tooth. He did a great job, no pain, in and out of the chair quick, me and Tucker got home before 8! So that was great! We got home and went back to bed haha

THEN, around 2, my friend Jamie texts me and asks me "are yall going tonight?" Me being on drugs wondered to myself... am i forgetting some event that we are supposed to be at!? so i quickly ask,"Whats tonight?" and she says...."trunk or Treating and the chili cook off" back to me........ a very sad face....BUMMER! not only could i not stuff my face but Jake was REALLY excited about entering his Pork and Pineapple Chili into the cook-off..

So... i ran to the kitchen, threw the chili in the crock pot and hoped it would get done fast enough! Long story short... it wasnt, and now we have chili for the rest of the week, (we froze half of it of course) and i did NOT get to stuff my face with chili.

I will also add that i havent had chili in a year seeing as last year i was pregnant at the chili cook off in Gig Harbor and was asked to be a judge.... another long story short, my morning sickness decided to start up the following morning, after tasting a million and a half different chilis, and i havent wanted to eat or be near or ever HEAR the word chili mentioned! haha but back to the other story!

Our ward party was still fun, we hung out with some of our friends and then passed out candy to the trick or treaters:) Tucker was the CUTEST little lion i have ever seen in life. (Thanks Jamie, best costume EVER!) and i will definatly never forget all this craziness of Tuckers first Halloween! here are some pictures of our little lion:)

Well this past week Tucker and I were lucky enough to go back to Virginia for a visit with my family. We were sad Jake couldnt go with us but I was REALLY excited to see my family.Tucker was a champ on the flight! Never cried once, and just laughed and smiled at all the people around:) Tucker was also excited to meet all the Gholsons he has heard so much about! We had such a blast and cant wait to head back in 7 weeks for Christmas. Tucker will finally get to meet all his cousins (on my side) and I will finally get to see ALL my siblings together! Fall has arrived!!!

So its finally that time of year! The air is nice and crisp, the sweaters and long sleeved shirts are out, and the cocoamotion is out! yeah baby! Fall is by far my favorite season, and i am so glad it has finally decided to come around! I have started a new kick of walking every morning:) Hopefully i can continue to do it, as long as my friends who walk with me continue to go and keep me motivated. It is kinda hard to get out there when you know you have no one to talk to.. So here are some new pictures of us! We went to the Kansas state fair a few weeks ago with our friends the Morris'. They are such a fun family and we are really grateful to have them right down the street:) Here are some pictures of the fair and some newbies of my little, or shall i say big boy! he is 4 months old and i have already retired all his 3-6 month clothes:( He's in the 6-9 monthers and so stinkin cute! we go to the Dr on Thursday, and i will post his stats then. (for those who are interested, lol) We are getting ready for our trip to VA in a few weeks! Tucker will get to meet his family there for the first time and all of my friends from back home:) I am super excited to see everybody and have them see my little man.

Week of firsts:)

Well, this past week or so has been a week of firsts for Tucker! He went to his first football game, his first wedding, and his first road trip! As well as his first Marriott stay (thanks GG!) We went to the Valley Center High School football game, which they got stomped but who doesnt love going to a football game?! Jake loved taking Tucker, he wants to make sure he is introduced to sports as soon as possible, haha. I love my husband. Then the next day a guy from Jakes work got married so we went to the reception! Tucker looked so cute and it was fun for us to all get dressed up instead of wearing my usual jeans and one of many t-shirts, lol. Then this weekend Jake had a CE course in Kansas City, so Tucker and I tagged along! I loved having a relaxing weekend of NOT having to clean up and being able to just snuggle in a nice comfy bed with my little man, while watching movies, til Jake got back! Then we went to the plaza.We had California Pizza Kitchen (i LOVE that place!) while we were there Tucker flirted with the girls at the next table, talkin and talkin!!we walked around a bit. Then headed back to the hotel. The next day we waited for Jake to get back then we went swimmin and Tucker loved it as always. I think he is definatly gonna get the Gholson swimming gene:) None of the pictures have a smile.. because like ive said before.... my child is for some reason camera shy! SO DISAPPOINTING! anyhow.. we went to eat at this FAB place called Houstons and i had the best prime rib of my LIFE! i dont even have a picture because i started eatting and couldnt stop! jake had some DELISH ribs :) and of course we swapped cuz we love food! then we headed back to get some well needed rest. The next morning we got up and packed and then headed to Independence to go see the visitors center, and over to the Liberty jail. It was an great experience and we are so glad we were able to swing by! here are some pix of the past week or 2:)

Sorry it has been so long since our last update... BUT! here are some new pix of our little Tuckerman:) He is about 15(ish) pounds, and growing like a weed! Tucker is teething, but has been taking it like a champ! Not too much fussing, just random days of being a little more impatient, lol. Lately, Tucker has LOVED LOVED LOVED splashing in the bathtub:) It is so much, that i have had to start putting the little bathtub in the actual bathtub because water is flying like crazy!! Next week we are going to Kansas City so hopefully we will have fun pix from the trip:)

Here is an update! My most recent thing is i got a new sewing machine! My mom got me an awesome table and i have been playing around with it during Tuckers naptime:) I have made 2 blankets and cant wait to get on my next project. Im still learning so the blankets are nothing fancy yet! my mom taught me how to do a french seam while she was here so that is pretty mcuh all i know how to do, haha. Here are the 2 blankets i have made so far..

And here are some pictures of my growing boy!! He is smiling and laughing like crazy these days, and eating like its his J-O-B! Its ridiculous how much he eats! He is growing like a weed, in 3-6 mos clothes, and loves to sit up! He loves his bumbo chair and sitting on anyones lap that will let him sit up so he can look around the room.

My boys, they are so cute.. They snuggle as soon as Daddy gets home from work! We are so lucky Jake has a job were he gets home at 2:15 almost every day!

Since we had Tucker blessed, we were lucky enough to have some of our family in town! My mom and dad came, as well as Jakes dad, and his sister Megan. Then my cousin Rushell and her family came too! We had such a great time with everyone and are so glad they could make it! We went to "Cow Town", one of the MANY attractions here in Wichita, lol. And we also had a cookout after Tuckers blessing! Many of our friends came and got to celebrate with us, it was such a great time:) Here are some pictures from the time our families were here!

So I just wanted to add a few pictures of our little Tuckerman:) In a week that has been SO extremely aweful, my husband and this little man have kept me going. I love them so much and do not know what I would do without either of them.

He is so curious! He spends the majority of the day just looking around at everything!Look at these big blue eyes! How can you resist him?! i think his eyes are going to be green like ours, but who knows!

This picture of Dolly just made me laugh, i tried to put it on th bottom but it jumped up here...

6 WEEKS!

So Tucker is now 6 weeks old! He is growing so fast and is the sweetest little baby! He rarly cries, only when he needs something, and he is sleeping through the night like a champ:) Normally least 8 hours then wakes up to eat, and then for another 2 or 3 hours! He only sleeps about 2-3 hours during the day, and is quite chatty:) He loves tummy time, and laying on the ground so he can look around... He uses his legs to spin himself around if he is trying to look at something that he cant quite see.. Its pretty cute;) Here are some pictures from this past week and a video. The video was taken when Jake got home from work and Tucker was SO super happy, the viseo doesnt show the happy... just the chatty! haha. Jake loves his little man and is such an amazing Dad. He is always trying to feed him, or asking me if I need anything. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband! Tucker is such an alert little boy and so curious about what is going on around him. He just stares at everything and is so interested in it all! We love him so much and are so grateful to have him in our lives:)

Leeroy is very interested in Tucker.. haha, he likes him ok... But I think he is more interested:)

Heres our little man! I tried to get him while he was all stretched out, but he was kicking around... He is going to be very tall! (or so we think.. Jake is hoping for 6'5 so he can be a basketball star.. Im sure Aunt Katie would have Duke recruit him for sure!! :)

So this is how the day started! It was May 29th and Katie came in from Richmond to be here to help me out once Tucker came:) We went to the mall to walk around a bit and went to Freddy's.. Only the best custard place EVER! It is my new favorite place to go so we HAD to take Katie there. About 9 oclock that evening I started having contractions... We went on a walk to see if that would help.. and they just kept coming, closer... and CLOSER! haha, Jake was so sweet, he rubbed my back while Katie made sure I was drinking lots of water. After an hour they were 3-5 minutes apart so we called the Dr. She told us to go ahead and head to the hospital! So we went.. We got there about 11:45 and they got me hooked up to a monitor and the nurse saw my contractions and predicted we would be having a baby the next day:) My Dr. had them monitor me for about 2 hours and check my progress to make sure i was progressing enough to stay there. I went from a 1cm at about 1230 to a 4 at about 3... It took a little bit to get transfered over to L&D but we got into our room at about 4. I got all hooked up again and got comfortable and they asked if i wanted my epidural. Of course i said yes:) haha So i got my epidural about 445 am, and then Jake and Katie feel asleep til about 9. I tried to sleep and maybe slept for an hour... I dunno if it was the excitement, the anticipation or the adrenalin or what but i just couldnt sleep! Anyhow, They checked me again at 945 and i was at 9 cm. I was at a 10 by 1015, and i at 1045 the Dr. finally got there and was getting all suited up and ready! Tucker man was ready to come because we started pushing and it was literally 3 pushes and then he came out on the 4th at 11:05 am on his due date no less! Which the Dr says only happens 5% of the time... He must like to have all the attention like his Mom, lol. Anyways, So thats it!We went over to recovery after 2 hours and headed home the next afternoon!

SO.. all in all, our first week as parents has been wonderful! Tucker is an awesome baby:) He only cries when he needs something and sleeps so well! I have to wake him up at night to feed him. We love him so much and are so grateful to have him in our lives! We are also VERY grateful for Katie who has been such an amazing help to us this past week and a half while ive been recovering! Leeroy and Dolly arent gonna know what to do when she is gone! And i dont think i will either:( I love that i have a family that would dropo whatever to be there for me.. Thanks Katie!! We love you so much and have LOVED having you here with us! Jake will miss you laughing at him. haha

Anyhow! Hopefully I'll be able to keep this a little more updated now that we have more to update about! lol Take Care!

Well, Today is Jakes birthday so i thought i better at least post something to tell everyone how grateful i am to have such an amazing husband:) Jake is most definatly one of the most compassionate, honest, and wonderful people I know, and i am very proud to have him as my husband and my best friend! I am so blessed that he was raised by wonderful parents who made him the man he is today! So I guess I have Bill and Linda to thank for that :) Jake, I love you so much and am so grateful for everything you do for me and our family:) Guess that means LeeRoy and Dolly til the baby is born:) You are such a great example to me and will be for our son:) So people... Here is to another wonderful year for Jacob Lee Saxton with many more things to come!

A few weeks ago the office manager at Jakes office called me and told me that they were going to have a suprise birthday party for Jake! I was so excited to have a secret from Jake! haha, and he had NO idea! Well i walk in to give him his lunch that he forgot at home and he says,"oh you brought my lunches, thanks! but im going into a meeting so i gotta go.." so i was like,"i know! go ahead!" so i follow him into the break room and it was a fake out! It was a birthday/ BABY SHOWER for us! Sadly, I forgot my camera:( But,it was the sweetest thing! They had decorations and presents, and cake:) and lunch! It was so great! It makes me and especially Jake really happy to know that he works with such great and welcoming people! So to all yall at the Dental Corner, THANKS! Yall are wonderful!

OK! So just a few minutes ago Jake was outside with the dog when he runs in the house and is scrambling around to find the branch trimmer thingies... "There's a bird with string all wrapped around it, and its stuck on the tree!" Yes, THE tree because we are in Kansas and the only trees we have are about 10 feet tall that are planted! lol, anyhow we run out side and this is what we see!

Poor bird! He was all kinds of twisted in that string!

Then Jake clipped the branch out so we could try to get him out!

Then Jake clipped all the string off the poor little bird...

Then I thought the bird was dead! :(

My Last Trip Childless!

So this past week I was able to go home to visit my family for the last time before the baby comes! Katie and my mom threw me an AWESOME shower! AND Amy, Derick, Kurtis and Sarah came to suprise me too! It was so great to have them all there visiting, I was bummed that Jake couldn't be there to join in on the fun (as well as Ryan and his family) but we had such a great time!! I did all of my favorite things which usually includes eating something, haha. I had Chick-Fil-A twice while I was there, a hot dog and a DC from Price Club (or Costco as the rest of the world calls it) and delicious doughnuts from Ukrops:) Yumm Yumm YUM!! We had such a great turn out for the shower! We fit 50 people in our house! If Katie knows how to do something its throwin a GREAT party! Our house was full of great friends and great family, and tons of laughter. I am so glad everyone who came could make it!! It was so great to see everyone! While I was home it was also Kates birthday! big 27 baby!!! we had fun going to El Paso and having ice cream painted on katies face... and up her nose:) hahaha. We played the Wii and Amys competitive face returned! Amy is probably the funniest person to watch play games, especially on the Wii! She is so hard core... Dont worry, im posting a video:) So all in all, it was a blast, and I pretty much have the best family in the world:)

A few weeks ago I was eating my DSO's (Double Stuffed Oreo's for all you non-gholson speakers, lol) and I told Jake, "Probably someone should make a container like this but just have Reeses Peanut Butter Cups all lined up inside!"

One of my MANY random thoughts... But when we got home from the airport he says, "you want and oreo?" Me being me, I said" "of course!" he grabs the bag and pulls open the seal and BAM!

Yep, you said it, my husband is the man!

When is it Spring again?!

Well, not too much has been happening around here! Jake is keepin busy with work and i am still waitin on this baby to be ready to come, lol. Im gettin a little bigger everyday and the baby is getting more and more active! I swear you'd think he was havin a party in there or something!I remember when Amy was pregnant with Kurtis we used to joke that she had the baby Hulk in her belly, but i swear, i have the baby Hulk 2 in mine! He is so crazy! Im still working on his blanket, ill post a picture of that when i get back from VA at the end of March. (Moms gonna help me with the trim. I could probably do it myself but its way more fun to do stuff with my mom! ) We have a doctors appt in two weeks with another ultrasound and then we start going every two weeks! I feel like its going by so fast now! Its crazy to think we are actually going to have a REAL LIVE BABY soon! We cant wait to meet him and to see what he's gonna look like, and what his little personality will be like, and all that other stuff!

Lets see.. oh! the olympics ended, FINALLY! You can call me whatever you want, but i was so over watching the same events over and over EVERYNIGHT! omg, and how annoying is Lindsey Vonn?! If you mess up on a race, just say hey.. that really sucks that i fell.. not " oh, well i had a hurt shin, and then i broke my finger, and then i fell this morning while i was trying to figure skate, blah blah BLAH!" So yes, needless to say, i am glad those are gone and that the Biggest Loser can return:)

The thing that takes up most of our time is playing with our dogs Leeroy and Dolly. Jake asked me last night why i havent updated the blog, and i told him... we haven't really had anything to blog about have we?! haha, but he quickly reminded me that we had a video to post of Leeroy chasing the geese by the pond we have here, lol. He's so proud... For those of you who don't know Jake well, he LOVES the Dog Whisperer, and Jake is quite the dog whisperer himself! Ceasar says, (please read the following with a mexican accent) " Every dog must have a job, so that they feel a sense of pride and accomplishment." So Jake set out to find Leeroy a job, and he found one! haha, everytime we go outside, Leeroy knows if he is good on the walk that he will get to "herd" the geese back into the pond. Dolly doesn't have a job yet, but she is doing a great job with her training! She can sit and waits when she is told to wait... She does a good job following Leeroys lead, and she so stinkin cute! The potty training is comin along, hopefully she'll be pretty much there by the time the baby comes! Anyhow, here are some pictures for your enjoyment!

Here's A Few To Catch Ya'll Up!

So I am attempting to catch everybody up, and try to be a better blogger... This is our trip to VA for Christmas. It was kind of weird without Amy and Ryan (and their families..) but, we had a blast with Mom, Dad, and Katie at the house! And of course the holiday season was beautiful with all the snow! We had a white Christmas for the first time in... I don't even know how long!! We did the usual, Brunswick Stew tradition:) It was my first year participating in the WHOLE experience! Jake had no idea all the work that went into it, haha. It is not just a one day deal, but it was awesome doing it with Katie, Dad, and of course, Nan! Here are some pictures of the Stew making!

We had a blast playing all together! FUN!!

Jake got a little Mad Gab and Tim for Christmas! (After he told me Christmas eve that we sould just get something small for eachother... after we had decided not to get anything cuz we got a new laptop... so i had to scramble last minute to buy him something! lol, sooo jake)

The reason Jake decided that we should get eachother something... because he wanted to get me these GREAT boots! I love them!!

I told you I'm not very good at this...

So I warned yall in my first blog post that I am HORRIBLE at this! I knew i would never keep it updated, which is why I never had a blog in the first place... BUT! Now that I'm not working I don't really have an excuse! A lot has happened since our last post... so I will try to fill you in now and then add some pictures on Sunday:) Here is what has changed...

1. We are pregnant, which most of you know! lol, we are having a baby boy on May 30 or I guess whenever he decides to come around May 30th, haha.
2. Jake quit his job in Washington and began looking for a new job at the end of October.
3. Jake found a job in Wichita...
4. I quit my job in Washington:) Which was so sad... NOT!
5. We had Christmas in LA the first week of December
6. Then had Christmas in VA on Christmas!
7. The following week we took the Saxton family trip in Oregon
8.The NEXT DAY we started our drive to Wichita!

So needless to say, we have been crazy busy! Jake is LOVING his job here:) Which is so great! He loves the people he works with and the cases he gets.. Everyone at the office says that he is the most laid back dentist they have ever met. haha, which is perfectly put. We are currently looking for a house here in Wichita, which has been really fun!

I will be 24 weeks on Sunday so its nice to know I'm over half way there:) Jake felt the baby move for the first time today. It's been SO FRUSTRATING trying to grab Jakes hand when he is kicking and as soon as Jakes hand gets there... he stops. Its like he taunting us! So rude.. Today I grabbed Jakes hand and put it on my belly... He just kept watching tv and he had on his "this is dumb.. he's not gonna do anything" face, then BAM! The baby kicked so hard and Jakes face was all.. "HE JUST KICKED!" haha it was the cutest thing ever. And it made me feel better so he knows I'm not making these things up! haha

Well, i guess that's all for now! We will take some pictures the next few days and put some up on Sunday!

Here's a little update for yall!

I guess it's time for an update! So we are all unpacked, and settled in! I decided to put up some pictures of our new place. I only took a few because Jakes at work, and pictures aren't that fun if there aren't any people in them right?! Jake is doing great working, and it's crazy to think that he is not in school anymore! Leeroy is loving our new place. Every time we go outside he goes "sniff crazy" as I like to call it... Today when Jake left for work I was doing some laundry and realized that I had no idea where Leeroy was! I started looking for him, and when I found him, he was curled up on our bed taking a nap! He's getting so big, he takes his own naps and wants to be by himself.. Oh how time goes by so fast. I am also doing great! Missing my family a lot, but I'll get over it. At least that's what I keep telling myself, lol. Anyhow, I'm looking for a job and keeping busy being a house wife! So, there's the update! ... k, bye!

This is our kitchen! It's super spacious, and really great and I totally love it!

Here is one view of our living room. Leeroy uses this side of our living room to make a mess with his toys! I feel like we are living with a 2 year old... I clean up the toys, turn around, and BAM! There's a mess all over again... Good thing he's so cute... Other wise, he'd be in for trouble!

This is the other side of the living room. There's our little book shelf and Jake's diploma that his dad framed for him for graduation. It looks beautiful, and Bill's very proud of Jake! ...and don't even worry about it, there is a little 90210 on the t.v. OLD SCHOOL! haha, Jake and I have been catching up on some old times! lol

Here's our little Leeroy! Or should I say our big Leeroy! He is so stinkin cute, and people stop us allll the time to tell us how cute he is! I'm thinking about entering him into some doggy modeling contests! haha, JK JK! but he is pretty cute!

Here is our padio. Leeroy is not allowed in the grass out there, cuz the "desperate housewives" of our complex don't like dogs... They are super dog nazi's about getting over 25 pounds and when we first moved in, I took leeroy out back to check it out and got a serious mean mug from a group of the 5 women!

Here is my husband graduating! YAY!

This is after the 2nd graduation... a.k.a, the LONGEST graduation of my life! ps Katie... your the man for going with me! and keeping me entertained with your love for your genetics guitar playing hero! hehe

Here are my boys on our drive across the country... a.k.a the longest week of my life! But they sure are incredibly good looking!

Ok so i gave in and finally started a blog. I have no idea how this works, and I dont have my Mom or any of my siblings to help me.. SO! Just dont expect too much! Here is the update on our lives! Jake graduated from VCU Dental School in May and got a job in WA. So, we just moved across the country! YAY, we are finally here, it took forever! ...and I have decided that I am not going anywhere that takes longer then 15 minutes any time soon. We are getting settled in our new apartment and Jakes dad told me that the average person takes 6-12 months to settle in to a new home, so I feel a lot less stress now:) lol, don't worry mom, I promise I wont take THAT long! Anyhow, I haven't had time to take any pictures yet, but more to come later! PROMISE! ok there it is.. my first blogpost i guess! Hopefully for your sake it will get more exciting. I'll work on it!
